Shipping within Australia All products are shipped via Registered mail (unless you select the Express Post option in checkout) with Australia Post. Goods in stock will be sent within 2 days of receiving payment. Where the goods are not in stock we will order directly from our suppliers. In this case it may take between 2 days and 4 weeks to arrive to us, subject to shipping lead times. City Gems is not able to take responsibility for the lead times from our suppliers but we would like to assure you that we do everything in our power to work with the suppliers to ensure that you get your goods in a timely fashion.
Shipping costs for deliveries within Australia Regular delivery (registered post) is FREE for orders $100 and over. For orders under this, or if you select the Express Post option - shipping is AUS$10.00.
Shipping fee for online specials
A fee of $6.00 applies to all discounted orders.This is calculated in store and NOT when you place your order.
Delivery turnaround within Australia Delivery times may vary depending on destination, time of year and unforseen transport delays; however goods sent via registered post would usually take 3 to 5 days. Express Post ETD is within 1 to 2 days.
Urgent delivery
If you require urgent delivery we are able to Express Post your order for you at a charge of $10. Please specify if you wish to use this service in checkout.
Shipping to outside Australia
Lead times for all products is still the same as "Shipping within Australia".

Deliveries start at AUS$10 and depend on your requirements. You will be advised by email of any additional costs.
Delivery turnaround for orders being sent outside Australia
Delivery times may vary depending on destination, time of year and unforseen overseas transport delays. You will be advised by email of an approximate delivery time after placing your order.
Risk of Loss
All items purchased from City Gems are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This basically means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier.
Returns City Gems aim to provide the best services and products at all times. In the event that we have provided you with a product which isn't right in any way we take this very seriously and ask that you simply contact the team at City Gems immediately so that it can be handled efficiently and appropriately. In order to process your return of goods, please be sure to include or have the following information handy:
- The original receipt; or date and description of purchase
- Your full name
- The reason for the return
- Your day time phone number
Goods must always be returned in their original condition with original packaging.

Exchanges To exchange goods from City Gems, please contact us immediately as we only exchange goods in their original, unworn condition, in original packaging within 14 days of purchase. (Excludes: Earrings, body jewellery, lay-bys, and reduced items). Goods must be returned to City Gems at the customer's cost and risk. An additional delivery cost may be charged for exchanges. In order to process your return of goods, please be sure to include or have the following information handy:
- The original receipt; or date and description of purchase
- Your full name
- The reason for the return
- The code and description of the item(s) you would like instead, or if you would like a Credit Note please specify this
- Your day time phone number
We do not refund goods or delivery charges if you simply change your mind. Refunds can be given if goods are faulty or incorrectly described.
Credit Notes
Credit Notes are valid for 12 months from time of return.
Take care
Please handle your chosen piece of jewellery with due care and respect. Remember that water, soap, hairspray, perfume and other chemicals can damage jewellery.
Store your jewellery separately in a soft pouch. To maintain the appearance of silver, simply use a silver polishing cloth.
Conditions of Loyalty Points:
Not valid on existing Lay-bys or reduced or sale items. Non transferable. Valid 12 months. Points are re-deemable on-line by specifying you would like to "redeem your loyalty points on this purchase" in the comments box at checkout. 1 point is accrued per dollar on jewellery which is equivalent to a 10% credit of the amount spent. NB. It is the Customer's responsibilty to inform City Gems' staff at point of purchase if you are a Loyalty Member, as loyalty points cannot be backdated. Conditions may change. Any changes will be recorded on the City Gems website with or without individual notice. |
